    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Town of Prosper is currently seeking qualified and dedicated individual

    for the position of:

    Chemical Technician.

    Hiring Range: $42,683.95 - $49,086.54

    Retirement Benefits (TMRS), 2-to-1 Match Medical , Dental, and Vision

    Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • Two years of relevant work experience.
    • Valid Texas Department of Agriculture Non-Commercial Pesticide Applicator License.
    • Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
    • Currently hold or have the ability to obtain the “right of way” and “aquatic” categories of TDA within one year of the date of hire.

    Under general supervision, the Chemical Technician performs skilled technical labor to control the weed and insect population, apply various pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers, and chemical applications, prevent potentially harmful diseases and fungi in the Town’s turf areas.
