Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for Test Technicians in Richmond, VA.
JOB PROFILE SUMMARY:
Conducts testing and verification activities for assignments of low/medium testing complexity of systems, subsystems, or products effectively and cost-efficiently and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical contribution
- Executes testing according to schedule.
- Prepares project test documentation.
- Provides technical support during installation of test objects in the test area.
Customer and Sales
- Ensures that type tests are carried to meet the contractual obligations.
- Ensures tests/ inspections at suppliers' premises are carried out to meet the contractual obligations of systems orders.
- Provides necessary support to other functions during the testing and validation of digital solutions.
- Supports sales team on the requirements of tests during Sales phase.
Processes and tools
- Uses standard processes and tools.
- Reports inefficiencies in processes and tools.
Risk and opportunity management
- Makes risk assessments to assure safe systems of work and takes appropriate actions.
- Reports contract/quality/program/cost issues to management
Test Authorization
- Ensures all applicable requirements, maintains test reports, and certificates that prove compliance with required and applicable standards, market, or regulatory requirements in line with customer specifications, legal or ABB internal requirements.
Planning and control
- Follows work plans and cost estimates for work in their own area of responsibility.
- Ensures quality and timely implementation within targeted cost.
Supply Chain Management
- Collaborates with the supply chain function to ensure correct suppliers services and equipment are available to support testing activities.
Candidates for Test Technicians must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or work experience equivalent.
- 3 - 5 yrs. experience testing and troubleshooting electronics and 3-phase high power preferred
- 2+ years in a Test Lab and/or a manufacturing environment preferred
- Able to read and understand engineering documentation (blueprints, wire schematics, drawings, component specifications and ECNs).

- Strong computer skills (use of Excel, Word, HyperTerminal and other Programs).
- Strong verbal and written English language skills, (Witness Testing).
- Able to set-up and use electronic test equipment.
- Lean Manufacturing background i.e. 5s, kaizen, 5 whys, Root Cause analysis experience
- Must be proficient in Harness and Wiring
What's in this position for you?
- Pay: $21-27 (will be determined by the manager after interview).
- Shift: Candidates will need to be flexible to work first shift or second shift and some weekends
- 1st Shift 6 AM - 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift 2 PM - 10:30 PM

Pay Details: $21.00 to $27.00 per hour
