    The Opportunity
    In this leadership role you will shape, guide and implement strategies to advance robust service delivery within JCOD’s purview; enhance care coordination and care integration approaches across multiple service delivery systems; and oversee structural processes that support delivery of services by JCOD and its contracted Provider Network.

    Essential Job Functions

    WHAT WILL I DO AS A CHIEF MEDICAL DIRECTOR SENIOR PHYSICIAN?
    • Coordinates and facilitates regular communication and collaboration between JCOD and health department teams to align clinical and non-clinical services effectively.
    • Ensures that both clinical and non-clinical efforts are integrated seamlessly to optimize client outcomes.
    • Serves as a point of contact for health partners to address coordination challenges and finds solutions that benefit JCOD clients.
    • Develops comprehensive program policies for JCOD that appropriately address non-clinical service components and clear mechanisms to provide connections to clinical services.
    • Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure policies adhere to best practices, regulations, and the organization's mission.
    • Regularly reviews and updates policies to reflect evolving industry standards and client needs.
    • Cultivates strong relationships with health partners to maximize positive outcomes for JCOD clients.
    • Collaborates on joint initiatives, shares insights, and leverages each partner's strengths to enhance client wellbeing.
    • Participates in collaborative meetings, working groups, and joint planning efforts to align strategies.
    • Fosters communication amongst non-clinical teams within the JCOD framework and clinical teams.
    • Facilitates clear communication and mutual understanding between these teams to achieve cohesive service delivery.
    • Addresses any discrepancies or challenges that arise due to the convergence of clinical and non-clinical efforts.
    • Analyzes program data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement in non-clinical service delivery and works with health partners to communicate improvements in clinical service delivery.
    • Collaborates with teams to develop strategies based on data insights, aiming to enhance overall program effectiveness.
    • Monitors progress and adjusts strategies as needed to achieve optimal client outcomes.
    • Contributes clinical expertise to program development and expansion efforts, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.
    • Collaborates with program managers to integrate clinical insights into program design, evaluation, and client care pathways.
    • Provides guidance on the implementation of best practices within JCOD services.
    • Provides mentorship and guidance to staff members, particularly in aspects related to care coordination and integration.
    • Supports staff in navigating the complexities of working with health partners to combine clinical and non-clinical services effectively.
    • Fosters a culture of continuous learning and collaboration among team members.
    • Fulfills any additional responsibilities or tasks assigned by supervisors or program leadership.
    • Responds to emerging needs, participates in cross-functional initiatives, and contributes to the overall success of the JCOD program.


    Requirements

    WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE:

    TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

    One year of experience in medical practice, post-graduate training, teaching, or investigative work*.
    *Medical practice, post-graduate training, teaching, or investigative work must take place in the medical field.

    Licenses:
    California State Physician and Surgeon's Certificate authorized by the Board of Medical Examiners of the State of California**.
    A valid California Class C Driver's License or the ability to apply an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
    ** Applicants who possess the required California State Physician and Surgeon's Certificate authorized by the Board of Medical Examiners of the State of California must attach legible copies of their certificate to the application at the time of filing or within seven (7) calendar days from the date of application submission.     Physical class:
    3 - Moderate. This class requires that the incumbent stand or walk most of the time with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, working on irregular surfaces, occasional lifting of objects weighing over 25 pounds, and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds.

    Our Assessment Process:
    This examination will consist of a review and appraisal of qualifications based upon information from a Curriculum Vitae**, weighted 100%. This examination will assess leadership experience, clinical and behavioral health expertise, and care coordination experience.
