    Under general direction, the Accreditation and Curriculum Manager supports TEEX ongoing quality improvement initiatives by managing agency accreditation(s) (IACET); serving as a resource for divisional accreditations (ProBoard, CoAEMSP) and training provider eligibility (TCOLE, OSHA); and managing TEEX curriculum development, review and approval. This position is responsible for the completion of agency accreditation and reaccreditation cycles, required tracking and reporting, and maintaining a positive relationship with the accreditation bodies and TEEX stakeholders. This position will assist with monitoring institutional effectiveness and adherence with stated policies and procedures across all divisions and within the administration of the Agency.

    The position oversees the daily and some long-term strategic goals of assigned areas, actively maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accreditation standards, curriculum development and adult learning best practices. The position acts as a subject matter expert within those areas and a point of contact and liaison for internal and external constituents. This position performs research relevant to the area of specialty. The position oversees operations in the absence of the Program Director, Program Support.

    The position reports to the Program Director, Program Support.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
    • Seven years of related experience in program management for accreditation, program evaluation, curriculum development, or a related field


    Equivalency: Will consider an Associate’s degree in a related field and nine years of program management for accreditation, program evaluation, curriculum development experience or a High School Diploma/GED with eleven years of program management for accreditation, program evaluation, curriculum development experience.

    Required Licenses/Certifications:
    • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Participation in preparing for initial or reaccreditation processes at an accredited institution.
    • Knowledge of International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) accreditation standards.
    • Knowledge of continuing education and training industry standards and best practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and produce accurate and reliable reports.
    • Two years experience with curriculum development, accreditation, evaluation, and assessment.
    • One year of supervisory experience.


    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
    • Ability to regularly use computer/keyboard daily.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in an office environment.
    • Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving and/or flying on commercial airlines.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Experience working in a professional office environment.
    • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365 application suite.
    • Knowledge of software for data collection and analysis, curriculum development and accreditation with the ability to learn new software/interfaces.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to include presentation skills; competent in proofreading and editing written communications.
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills/abilities.
    • Knowledge of online survey methodology, Bloom’s taxonomy, instructional design models, adult learning principles, and accessibility.
    • Knowledge of student management systems and learning management systems.
    • General knowledge of federal regulations and policies related to vocational and continuing education.
    • Positive attitude and the ability to work with different personalities; ability to create a positive working environment for team members.
    • Ability to provide customer-friendly service to both internal and external customers.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records, work with sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to facilitate meetings with a collaborative attitude and meet project deadlines.
    • Ability to communicate complex information effectively.
    • Excellent program and project management skills.
    • Ability to coordinate and lead meetings, plan project timelines, and coordinate multiple detail-oriented projects simultaneously with a proactive approach to problem mitigation.

    • This position allows telecommuting per TEEX guidelines and as approved by manager/department.

    • This position may require up to 10% travel.


    Essential Duties, Tasks, and Percentages:

    Accreditation Program Management - 40%
    • Manages the continuing education and training industry standards and accreditation process (initial and reaccreditation) to include application, deadlines and logistics for site visits.
    • Ensures compliance with IACET Standard requirements by conducting reviews of training courses designated for IACET Continuing Education units. (CEUs)
    • Maintains fluency in various accreditation standards and processes and ensures Agency compliance with standards or other accreditation bodies as required.
    • Coordinates evaluations, compiles information, provides assessments, and generates reports as required to maintain accreditation status.
    • Facilitates workgroups to analyze metrics and current processes for improvements in efficiency and effectiveness to align with accreditation requirements.
    • Works with divisions to maintain or initiate program level accreditation (ProBoard, CoAEMSP) and training provider eligibility. (TCOLE, OSHA)
    • Helps division personnel with preparing program level self-assessment information, documentation, and/or site visits as needed.


    Agency Curriculum Management- 40%
    • Establishes, implements, and maintains appropriate curriculum development procedures and guidelines.
    • Manages the review and approval of TEEX training curriculum/eLearning processes and products.
    • Ensures all curriculum and program data follow the appropriate review process through divisional and departmental groups, and externally, as required by federal, state and accrediting agencies.
    • Ensures all curriculum material and content adheres to publication standards, template design, and formatting parameters and meet established agency standards of appearance, content and Bloom taxonomy.
    • Develops and maintains curriculum development tracking system to assist divisions in monitoring course development and revision cycles.
    • Maintains curriculum and course databases and files.
    • Provides input into the long-term system needs, planning, training, and sustainment of Agency’s curriculum technology needs in coordination with Network and Information Services. (NIS)
    • Supports staff in administering and interpreting regulations and their impact on curriculum development and assessment.
    • Recommends and implements new operating methods to improve data flow, collection, editing, processing and publication of curriculum.
    • Serves as copyright and accessibility resource and support for all divisions and centers.


    Credit Review - 10%
    • Manages the course and credit equivalency program with the American Council of Education (ACE) by preparing and submitting course application for review and maintaining eligibility and continuing review of submitted courses.
    • Assigns Continuing Education Units to eligible courses.


    Manage Participant Publications - 5%
    • Collaborates with divisions and centers, in the collection, development and management of program data and curriculum workflow for the purpose of creating and maintaining consistency across the Agency Vocational Course Handbook, course descriptions, and enrollment agreements.
    • Troubleshoots and resolves issues arising from errors and conflicts between curriculum and catalog submission and course descriptions.
    • Manages the periodic review of the Participant Handbook to ensure adherence with accreditation standards and agency rules and procedures.


    Training and Service Activities - 5%
    • Serves as a resource and provides training and outreach on agency policies and procedures related to accreditation and institutional effectiveness, curriculum and copyright.
    • Serves as a subject matter expert and provide training and support services in institutional processes and procedures pertaining to the vocational handbook and enrollment agreements and provides advice to training programs.
    • Participates in institutional service roles, such as communities of practice, committees and working groups.
    • Actively participate in team meetings and events.
    • Determine work priorities and assign work accordingly.


    Other Duties:
    • Performs additional work duties as assigned.
