    This position is responsible for providing administrative support for Department of Corrections Central Office employees in relation to all personnel matters. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Processing ID requests for new/existing staff
    • Processing name, address, tax changes, and all other benefit/deduction paperwork
    • Assisting DOC Central Office employees with onboarding
    • Preparing and/or overseeing the processing of personnel, time, and leave records in the SAM II HR payroll system
    • Processing compensatory payout requests
    • Processing MULES checks during employee birth months
    • Processing Long-term Disability (LTD) and SharedLeave forms
    • Making frequent decisions in accordance with agency policies, rules, and procedures
    • Providing basic clerical support
    • Establishing priorities and adhering to existing payroll deadlines
    • Other duties as assigned


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Two or more years of experience as an Office Support Assistant with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency OR

    Three or more years of experience in office support work; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency

    (Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year)

    All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date listed.

    Some positions are eligible for a shift differential of $173.34 semi-monthly, which is provided to employees with shifts that begin on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am, and who work at a 24/7 worksite (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center), or whose work requires regular visits to these locations. If selected for interview, eligibility may be discussed at that time with the hiring manager.

    The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
