    Job Announcement

    The City of Chandler Neighborhood Resources Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Code Enforcement Officer Senior. The position is scheduled to work 4 days, 10 hours.

    Who we are looking for
    Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone who will perform residential code compliance activities related to the City's zoning, sign maintenance and nuisance codes and ordinances, including code interpretation, site visits and investigations.

    Minimum qualifications
    • A High School Diploma or GED
    • 3 years of experience in code enforcement
    • 1 year of code enforcement-experience specifically relating to investigating nuisance, zoning and sign codes or technical inspections related to construction, landscaping or other related field
    • 2 years of experience involving work in meeting and communicating with the public
    • A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.


    Desired qualifications
    • Front line or direct customer service experience
    • Experience with case management software
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing


    This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.

    The City of Chandler will conduct a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.

Certain positions within the city are required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.
