  • Job Description

    The next Assistant General Manager, Engineering & Operations will join the utility at a pivotal time of transformation, infrastructure development and progressive opportunities to play a key executive role in maintaining AMP’s preeminent electric utility leadership position.

    Reporting to the General Manager, the AGM, E&O will lead with a “safety first culture” in engineering, operations, and capital development as AMP continues to modernize its operations and commitment as a leader in electrification and best practices in sustainability, reliability, energy conservation and customer service. The AGM will lead a diverse team of 45 individuals responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of AMP’s electric transmission and distribution facilities, as well as emergency response and grid operations.  E & O has an operating budget of approximately $12 million in capital, operations and maintenance, plus $6 million in administrative and $10 million in utility underground expenditures.  For a complete position profile visit: www.thehawkinscompany.com.

  • Job Requirements

    Ideal candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related field, with a master’s degree highly desirable. Candidates should have at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in utility engineering and operations, including 3 years in senior leadership positions.
